Double Diamond Auto Transport

"I've never shipped my car before, how does it work?"

After you and Double Diamond have agreed to pick up dates and method of payment:

  1. You will be faxed or mailed a copy of our agreement for you to sign and send back to Double Diamond.

  2. You will be contacted 10-30 hours prior to the day your vehicle is to be picked up. This call is to schedule the actual pick up time frame.

  3. When the driver arrives you and the driver will inspect your car and both sign off on the Condition Report/Bill of Lading. This is to disclose any existing scratches, chips, dents, if any. The driver will give you a copy of the report. He keeps a copy to use at delivery.

  4. Upon arrival of your vehicle you will be contacted approximately 10-30 hours prior to its delivery. The driver/dispatcher and you will set a delivery time frame for the actual delivery day. This time frame is usually a 2-4 hour window.

It's extremely important that Double Diamond Auto Transport has all possible numbers to reach you or whoever is receiving your car.

  5. When your vehicle arrives you and the driver will conduct another condition report, you will both sign the report and he will hand you a copy along with your keys.
Double Diamond strives on excellence and only works with highly qualified carriers whose damage rates are the lowest in the industry.

"What if there's damage to the car that wasn't there when I released it?"

  1. It's rare but it can happen.

  2. Hopefully you noticed it while the driver was still there and he signed the BOL reflecting this new damage.
If you don't notice the damage until after he leaves call Double Diamond as soon as possible so we can contact the carrier immediately to document the damage.

  3. Read the BOL to see what necessary steps need to be taken. Double Diamond will assist you in anyway possible but since the carrier is the primary insurance holder it will be their Cargo Insurance that honors your claim. Usually the carrier requires photos and two estimates. Keep in mind that if you can't see the damage in the pictures you have taken then they can't honor the claim.

  4. After submitting the photos, estimates and a short explanation of the new damage please allow up to 14 days for a reply from the carrier. Double Diamond will make phone calls to the carrier to check on the progress of the claim.

Double Diamond is with you even after your car delivers.
